In Japanese the word "Bari Bari"(bawree bawree)  means being very. very active...

This blog is to try and help each individual on the path to  easy-to-understand health and along the way help  you to create your own " Health Cheat Sheet" for a very "baribari" (active) and very healthy life--Robert Scott

This is the first entry of a blog that I'm hoping can help you to change your life for the healthier good...

Health is not valued till sickness comes... a very true statement especially for those of you who are sick now...

With all that is going on in the world--the world is also in the midst of a health revolution and has been for some time now that has changed the ways millions possibly billions of people view their health.  Living in Japan full time and traveling to Asia,  North American and Europe as well, I can see how many people of different cultures and lifestyles are trying to cope and change at the same time concerning health and the longevity of it ... Gyms, Health Food and many supplements, TV shows on nutrition are popping up all over.  So much information but what is true health?

The Japanese on the average live longer than anyone else in the world but are they healthier? We can learn a lot from Japan and Asia...  We shall find those answers together...  Are you ready for this revolution that is already going on?  Do you feel overwhelmed by all the hype and information on health out there?  Are you healthier than you were a year ago or even a month ago?  Do you have the necessary knowledge so you  can take on the responsibility of your personal revolution that is already happening?  Most people don't and may never get on the health train but will continue to run after it (pardon the exercise pun)  without becoming healthier...

It is time for you, the individuals, to assume a more active role in your personal health condition and the safeguarding of it so it becomes valued everyday.   There is tons of evidence of change with the growing interest of physical fitness, nutrition, dietary supplements and even stress management and thus many TV programs, magazines etc…have dedicated much time and money in getting the word to you about health.  But is it wise to trust the media? Is Google better at diagnosing that a doctor?  Is it wise to get the information on health and other such subjects from those who look to find the answers not for health’s sake but for ratings and to keep the sponsors happy?

If you, the individual, are to capitalize on this new thing called “health consciousness”, then you must devote more time and energy as individuals and the country as a whole, in educating yourself of the truisms of health and health sciences so that you may all be able to make more informed decisions about your health.

Health is a very complicated and ever-changing subject and trying to keep up with the latest breaking news on health is virtually impossible.  Splashed all over the TV news stations, magazines, newspapers and other media, are tons and tons of information dealing with health and sicknesses and their cures.  Now with the Internet at our fingertips, we can obtain more information in a day than we could read in a whole year.  But quantity is never better than quality, so the responsibility of each of us is to,
1) find information on health subjects that are recent and come from legitimate resources
2) learn the skills to understand and use the information to fit into your lifestyles in a way that is beneficial for yourself and those around you, and
3) learn to sort out the facts from fiction so you may become a better informed consumer and health advocate.

In school, if you got caught with a cheat sheet in the palm of your hand, you got in a lot of trouble... But you, your body and mind will get in a lot of health issue trouble if you don't have the right easy-to-utilize information at your fingertips  to live healthier, longer and always bari bari active...

It is my goal to help you create a "Health Cheat Sheet" -- to get you back to the basics, to help you create a plan to help you to become more  “health consciousness” and to find the simple but effective health practices that you can continue to use in your daily lives.

Make your own health the first priority in your life...then you can help others to do the same.  Make your cheat sheet so you can actually live the healthy lifestyle so many of us dream of.   .

In Japan they have a saying – If something happens twice it will happen a third time,  and while that can be good or bad, with a plan of action more good than bad is possible. In the Godzilla movie I acted in, I saved Japan and the world from destruction. I had a plan... In the Ultraman movie I was in, again, I saved Japan and the world from destruction by aliens. I had a plan then too... I can see that the third time is my time helping Y O U  and the plan is to help Y O U  create the "Health Cheat Sheet" for the perfect healthy lifestyle you want.
